REMEMBER THE IMMIGRATION RECRUITMENT SCAM? ABBA MORO FINALLY ARRESTED BY EFCC
Today i woke up to find Abba Moro trending on Nigerian twitter space. I dug in to see what was up and to my Joy and elation, i discovered that the EFCC had finally beamed its search light to Abba Moro.
What is the news? Abba Moro and two erstwhile senior officials of the ministry of interior have been arrested and detained over fresh evidence bordering about the recruitment scam of March 15, 2014 which cut short the lives of over 20 Nigerian Job seekers across the various recruitment centres in Nigeria.
Top anonymous EFCC sources who spoke based on the condition to remain anonymous stated that Mr Moro was arrested alongside the former Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Anaesthesia Nwaobia, and a deputy director who allegedly facilitated the scam.
This news is coming as a welcome one especially at a time when it seemed this man had evaded the wrath of justice. The ministry advertised and collected the sum of N1000 from 6.5 million Nigerians for job of 4000 slots in 2014. He was probed by the National Assembly and let off the hook with a go and sin no more pat on the back.

Mr Abba Moro Former Minister of Interior |
The recruitment exercise was characterized by poor logistics, over crowding of the recruitment centres and stampede that decimated our Nigerian youths in their prime for committing no other felony than being Nigerians.
As the story unfolds, many Nigerians may say its politically motivated, as for me i say kudos to the EFCC while i hope Mr. Ibrahim Lamorde (Immediate past EFCC chairman) will be brought to book.
