ALL APC MEMBERS ARE GOD FEARING. THERE ARE NO CULTISTS IN THE PARTY - AMAECHI

It has been a recent common saying that all APC members are saints. This has just been confirmed by the erstwhile Rivers state governor Rotimi, Chibuike Amaechi.



Amaechi who started his career with the PDP, was a two time Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, he went on to emerge as the Rivers state governor after a watershed court victory that ousted a sitting governor from the same party to vest the onus of leadership in him. He fell out with the PDP during the Goodluck Jonathan administration and became the source of headlines for both national and international dailies as he went from one controversy to another and finally announced his ouster to the APC 

In this Interview (Excerpts) with the currently serving minister of transport Amaechi , he clearly and unequivocally told the Channels TV interviewer that the APC people were all "God fearing".


Q:Whereas the police are saying the reason for the killings in those communities were as a result of cult clashes, you are saying they are political. Are you, therefore, vouching for all the members of the APC that they are not violent or that none of the APC members in Rivers State is a cultist?



A: I wish you knew me very well. One thing I fear about life is that it is irreplaceable and, if you are going to be one of my followers, you must not own a gun, you must not carry machetes. So you cannot work with me and carry weapons.


Q: But that does not answer my question in the sense that what I’m saying is that, are you saying every single member of APC is not a cultist?



A:Yes. That is what I am saying. To follow me, you must be God-fearing. So you’re saying there are no sinners in APC. Being God-fearing does to mean you cannot commit sins, but there is always a limit to which you definitely know you must not go beyond.
