"RESIGN" APC TELLS KACHIKWU THE JUNIOR MINISTER WHILE THEY SPARE BUHARI THE MAIN MINISTER

The steaming war of words within the APC party brewed from the a single statement issued by the national leader of the party Bola Ahmed Tinubu and titled:
KACHIKWU NEEDS TO KNOW THAT RESPECT AND GOOD PERFORMANCE WILL DO WHAT MAGIC CANNOT” has left the party divided over  Dr. Ibe Kachikwu's position as the junior minister.

Dr. Kachikwu and his Direct Boss President Buhari

The South South APC led by my Rotimi Amaechi took a step further from Tinubu's tongue lashing to ask him to resign his position as junior minister so as to give room for a magician to take his place. The South East Caucus on the other hand voiced a divergent opinion on this call for his resignation.

THE ORIGIN

Trouble started when Kachikwu granted an interview to state house correspondents and made a political and social blunder of saying Nigerians should be glad and grateful to the government that they even have petrol.  A somewhat irresponsible statement for a servant who is being paid by the same Nigerian's tax money to provide fuel for them.
Tinubu sharply expressed his displeasure as he noted that "Kachikwu’s flippancy was out of line. He was basically telling Nigerians that they should be lucky that they are getting the inadequate supply they now suffer"

THE SOUTHERN APC'S POSITION

The South South vice chairman of the APC Mr Prince Hilliard Eta pitched camp with the National APC to call for the resignation of Kackikwu observing that he has not aligned himself with the party's ideologies of serving the people with humility and delivering efficient services.

THE EASTERN APC'S POSITION

The plot took another twist as the spokes man of the South East zone of the party Mr. Osita Okechukwu aired a different view on the matter. While he agreed with Senator Bola Tinubu for boldly speaking of against Kachikwu's precipitous comment, he reminded the party and Nigerians on the great job Kachikwu has put in so far in ensuring transparency in product supply and delivery so far that Nigeria has been saved about N500 Billion.
THE HYPOCRISY
Pundits, analysts and ordinary Nigerians do not seem to be taking the comments of Senator Tinubu and the APC with smiles. They have called it a blatant and double faced gimmick aimed at diverting Nigerians' attention from the incompetence and the countless aborted promises the Apc and the President have made to Nigerians. No one has so far deemed it fit to question the president on the reason for the ever elongating queues at the fuel stations after all he is the Petroleum minister and Kachikwu is his assistant. We hope this is not another tribal stab. We also hope Kachikwu has not stepped on bootless toes because of his transparent policies and his prudent methods of conserving and reserving finances for the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

FAILED PROMISES
Below are the least of a few failed and some denied promises from the President and APC
